The School of the Built Environment is highly interdisciplinary in nature, covering a range of diverse subject areas including architecture, construction management, energy and environmental engineering. Our staff have extensive experience as advisers, consultants and visiting lecturers to companies, governments and universities globally.

Our MSc programmes focus on ensuring an excellent student experience and our curriculum extends beyond accepted models of best practice to incorporate the latest findings from research.

Choose to study over two years to fit around your work commitments, applying what you learn immediately, or study more intensively over one year. Our excellent facilities include a dedicated computer lounge for use by our students, equipped with the latest digital technology and software, including: building information modelling, 3D laser scanning, 3D visualisation, virtual reality headsets, building energy simulations and urban microclimate simulations.
