目的:

Assignments will vary from year to year but might include the following:
- a biography of a current researcher, evaluating their contribution to their field and to society;

- a Wik ipedia entry on a topic related to psychology that has not yet been covered, or not covered adequately;
-在报纸或杂志上发表文章，向外行读者解释最近的科学发现；

- a Teaching and Learning proposal, recommending good practice to schools/universities on the basis of evidence about how people learn;

教学方法简述：

学生将在秋季学期开始后不久从模块小册子中选择作业。 模块负责人将为所有参加作业的学生举行初步研讨会，解释作业的目的和所需具体成果的性质。 学生将获得在线演示和/或教程、推荐资源、所需结果示例等形式的辅助材料。 学生s will complete the assignment independently, and sub mit their final report on completion of the assignment. 模块负责人将与学生讨论所选作业的进展情况，并就最终报告草稿提供反馈

总结性评估-课程作业和课堂测试：

该模块的评估是通过课程作业（100%）。 学生将被要求制作一份可以用于在公共领域传播心理学证据的产出（50%）。 输出的性质将根据所选择的作业而变化，并且可能包括一个或多个组件。 参见模块手册了解更多细节。 学生还将完成一份1500字的反思报告（50%），在报告中，他们将批判性地分析他们在输出方面的选择，并反思他们自己的学习和与目标相关的有效性。  

形成性评价方法：
学生将获得口头和/或书面的反馈，以提交最终成果的草稿，并将能够利用这些反馈来改进他们的最终提交。

逾期提交的处罚：

根据大学政策，模块召集人将对迟交的作业进行以下处罚。
􀀕 where the piece of work is submitted up to one calendar week after the original deadline (or any formally agreed extension to the deadline): 10% of the total marks available for the piece of work will be deducted from the mark for each working day (or part thereof) following the deadline up to a total of five working days;
􀀕 where the piece of work is submitted more than five working days after the original deadline (or any formally agreed extension to the deadline): a mark of zero will be recorded.
