Our in-country representatives

About our representatives

The University of Reading works with approved representatives (agents) worldwide to offer assistance and counselling to prospective students and applicants. These counsellors can help you find the right institution and course, and support you throughout the application process.

The Global Recruitment Team (International) works closely with the agents to ensure they have up-to-date information on our programmes, application procedures and any other university related information.

The University pays commission to these agents if you receive their support and enrol at Reading. Use of their services won't affect your chances of being accepted for a course. We work with agents because it extends our global presence and many students find it beneficial to get help with applying for universities.

Please be aware that some agents charge students a counselling fee and we advise you to clarify all charges in advance. You should also check if an agent is authorised to represent the University of Reading. In some instances our agents may work with other agents (sometimes referred to as sub-agents), but we will not have contracts with these partners, and are unable to support them in the same way.

Any course deposits or tuition fee payments should be paid directly to the University and not to an agent.

contacting our representatives

We have agents all across the world. If you are a prospective student or an applicant, you can find details of the agents we work with in your country by visiting our country pages for details, or below for UK-based agents and agents working exclusively through digital channels.

Some of our agents will offer face-to-face support and have offices in the town or city where you live. Others may make more use of digital channels, including the provision of platforms or portals through which you can communicate.

We won't recommend one agent over another and it is for you to decide, if you wish to use an agent, which one seems best equipped to meet your needs.

quality assurance

The University expects our representatives to be honest and accurate with the information they communicate about the University and to conduct themselves with fairness and integrity at all times.

If you receive assistance from one of our representatives you are entitled to have expectations of us around how we select and work with these organisations. The University is signatory to the UK Agent Quality Framework pledge.

In the event of any complaint regarding the service received from one of our agents please complete our Agent Feedback Form and we undertake to give a formal response within a maximum of 3 working days.

If you need help with any aspect of our network of representatives please submit a question.
