Northcourt Houses are three separate houses which offer a range of accommodation options for more mature students and couples.

They are close to local shops, cafes, a bus stop to central Reading, as well as Whiteknights campus. They are an ideal choice for those who would prefer living in a flat to a hall.

Due to the nature of the Northcourt Houses, there is no single-sex or quieter lifestyle accommodation available.

Accommodation Guarantee


Prospective students are guaranteed a place in halls if they are:

  • A new full-time undergraduate who holds Reading as a Firm UCAS choice and applies for accommodation by 1 August** and satisfies any conditions of their academic offer by 3 September 2025.
  • A new full-time postgraduate who has accepted an offer from the University and applies for accommodation by 1 August** and satisfies any conditions of their academic offer by 3 September 2025.
