By the end of the module it is expected that the student will be able to:
􀀕 identify the basic structure of the law of tort and its fundamental principles;
􀀕 recognise the legal issues arising from a given set of facts;
􀀕 analyse reported cases and evaluate arguments based upon them;
􀀕 be able to formulate arguments for and against particular conclusions;
􀀕 consult original legal materials and reflect upon them;
􀀕 develop a critical awareness of the way in which the law of tort operates in society.

教学方法简述：
将有40堂课，分布在两个学期和8个两周一次的辅导课，学生们将为小组讨论准备主题。 在单元中也会设置书面练习，由相关导师批改并退还。 但是，这些练习不会构成学生􀀒s模块整体表现的总结性评估的一部分。 A written test will be taken by all students in January to provide practice in working under examin ation conditions. 脚本将与评论一起返回，标记将不构成模块􀀒s总结性评估的一部分。

One un-assessed essay of 4 pages in length (秋天 Term)
One piece of un-assessed peer marked work (春天 Term)

逾期提交的处罚：

支助中心将对逾期提交的工作实行下列处罚：

• 在原定截止日期（或任何正式同意的延期截止日期）之后提交的作业：截止日期后的每个工作日（或其中的一部分）将从该作业的总分数中扣除10%的分数，最多可达五个工作日；
