As Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion, Professor Allán Laville is expected to play a leading role in supporting a culture of diverse representation of staff at all levels of the institution – identifying opportunities for the University to benefit from diversity and inclusion initiatives across a broad spectrum of activities. 他还监督所有提交的认可和/或认证的多样性和包容性指标（如雅典娜天鹅，种族平等宪章标志，残疾人自信计划）的管理。
Professor Allán Laville teaches Clinical 心理学 at the School of 心理学 and Clinical Language Sciences (SPCLS) and was the Co-Chair of the University’s LGBTQIA+ 工作人员 Network before taking up his current role.

In 2019, Allán won the Reading 学生s' Union Award for Diverse and Inclusive 教学 卓越 and in nba投注, he was awarded a University 教学 Fellowship.
